Frontend design taste skill — avoid AI-generic UI
Use when shipping marketing or product UI and you refuse another purple-on-white AI landing page.
- What it does
- Steers coding agents toward distinctive typography, real visual anchors, restrained motion, and brand-first heroes — with explicit 'avoid' lists for generic AI aesthetics.
- Best for
- Landing pages, portfolio sites, and SaaS marketing surfaces built with React/Next where taste matters as much as components.
- How to install / use
- Attach the design-taste skill (or paste its rules) before asking Agent to build or restyle a page. Provide brand colors, fonts, and one reference site. Ask for CSS variables and 2–3 intentional motions, not decoration spam.
Steal this
- Brand name must survive the 'remove the nav' test
- Hero budget: brand, one headline, one sentence, one CTA group, one dominant image
- Ban default Inter/Roboto stacks unless the existing design system requires them
When to use
Anytime someone says "make it look modern" without a brand brief — this skill forces constraints so the agent cannot default to purple gradients and pill badges.
