Claude Theme Factory

Decks and reports look like random hex each time — this skill shows 10 preset themes (or generates one), then applies colors/fonts consistently across the artifact.

ClaudeVerifiedAccess: Apache-2.0 skill artifact is free on GitHub; Claude / Claude Code runtime may need your host plan.
What changes
Toolkit for styling slides, docs, reports, or HTML with curated themes: show theme-showcase.pdf, wait for a choice, then apply that theme’s colors and font pairings (or generate a custom theme).
When

Use Anthropic’s theme-factory skill when you need a token/theme system — cohesive colors + font pairings — applied to slides, docs, reports, or HTML artifacts after the content exists.

Boundary vs frontend-design-taste: theme-factory is a preset/custom theme applicator (showcase → choose → apply hex/fonts). frontend-design-taste is a taste / anti-purple landing critique (hero budget, brand test, ban list). Use theme-factory to restyle an artifact with a chosen palette; use frontend-design-taste when the first viewport still looks like median AI UI.

Good fits:

  • Applying Ocean Depths / Modern Minimalist / etc. to a finished deck.
  • Generating a named custom theme from a short brand description.
  • Keeping contrast readable after a palette swap.

Skip it when you need composition/architecture taste on a marketing page (frontend-design-taste), or when you’re building a multi-component Claude artifact scaffold (claude-web-artifacts-builder).

How to start
Enable theme-factory from anthropics/skills (example-skills). Show the showcase PDF, pick a theme (or describe a custom one), then apply colors/fonts across the artifact.

Copy dock

Ready to adapt. Paste. Run. Use.

Show the showcase and wait for an explicit theme choice before restyling.

EXAMPLE prompt

Attach the theme-factory skill.
Artifact: [slides | doc | report | HTML] already drafted in this chat / attached.
First: show theme-showcase.pdf for viewing only. Then ask which of the 10 themes to apply,
OR generate a custom theme from: [short brand description].
Do not apply until I confirm the theme name.
After confirmation: apply colors + font pairings consistently; keep contrast readable.
Note: this is theme tokens — not a frontend-design-taste landing critique.

Keep in mind

  • Show theme-showcase.pdf first — do not silently pick a theme
  • Wait for explicit confirmation before applying colors/fonts
  • Contrast: theme tokens here vs taste/anti-purple critique on frontend-design-taste
